Become an Associate in Wilderness Medicine in a program at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Join the many people who have achieved this level of education and become an ambassador for wilderness medicine around the world. Benefits include a level of competency in wilderness medicine training from education from a trusted medical school, and certification as an instructor and developer for our programs. This will make you a more well-rounded and knowledgeable asset in furthering health and safety in austere environments. There is no additional cost. 

 

Requirements are to pass the following exams:

 

·   AWLS and/or BWLS certification exams

·   Backpacking Medicine exam

·   Search and Rescue exam

·   Wilderness Travel and Tropical Medicine exam

 

When you have passed these exams, click on the Associate in Wilderness Medicine tab at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions. A certificate will be emailed to you.
